Default DOOR ON STAIR LANDING NOT SHOWING IN PLAN REGION

I HAVE CREATED A STAIR TOWER FOR A PROPOSED 2ND
FLOOR ADDITION WHOSE LANDING FROM BASEMENT TO FIRST
FLR IS JUST ABOVE GRADE. I CAN ONLY SEE THE DOOR
AND ITS SWING IN THE BASEMENT PLAN, NOT THE 1ST FLOOR
    PLAN.

MY PROBLEM IS THAT MY FIRST TO 2ND FLOOR STAIR IS
BLOCKING THE VIEW OF MY DOOR. I CAN ONLY VIEW
THE DOOR ON FIRST FLOOR VIEW IF I HIDE THE STAIR
IN VIEW SETTINGS (WHICH IS ONLY TEMPORARY).

I TRIED PLAN REGIONS. THE ONE ATTACHED IS ONLY AROUND
THE DOOR SWING BUT I DID HAVE ONE WHOSE OUTLINE
ENVELOPED THE WHOLE STAIR FROM 1ST TO 2ND FLR.

I AM PERPLEXED AND NOW HOPE SOMEONE IN THE REVIT
COMMUNITY CAN SHARE WITH ME WHAT I NEED TO DO
TO GET THE DOOR ON THE LANDING TO BE VIEWED ON
BOTH THE BASEMENT AND 1ST FLOOR PLANS.

What are your plan region settings?

On the basement floor, you'd want your cut plane set at the landing height + ~4'.

On the first floor, in the plan region dialog, select the basement as the cut plane level, and for the bottom, and use the same distance as above for your cut plane height.

    Andrew,

Thanks for the reply. I figured it out how to get the landing stair to view, if I make the plan region cover over completely the stair from first floor to second floor (thats what is blocking my view of the landing door), and make the settings so that I see the beginning of the first to second floor stair and my view depth to see the landing and stair from basement and stair from landing to 1st floor all is well. See the attached, it works.

I was looking at plan regions as a way to mask in or out what I wanted to view. Its just did not make sense to have to include the whole 1st to 2nd floor stair to see the landing door.
But that appears to be what is required. So I will do that in the future.

    Thanks again for your help.
