Question Some Layers do not show up in Paperspace

I have objects on some layers in model space that don't show up in paper space. All the layers are on, thawed in current and all viewports, unlocked. The layers are visible in the layer box. There are objects from a consultant and also layers from an xref.

    I'm using Autocad 2002.

I can get around this by creating a new layer and moving the objects to it. The layer and the objects show up in paper space. But I would like to prevent this from happening in the first place. Any Ideas how this happens?

Make sure the layer is not frozen in the viewport.
When you are in the viewport, if you look at the dropdown layer list on the layers toolbar, you will see the big sun/ snowflake, which is the normal freeze thaw that affects everything, and then there is a smaller sun/snowflake that looks like it is on a piece of paper. This freeze only affects things in the current viewport. This icon is not visible in the layer properties manager, so you may not ever see it if you don't use the layers toolbar.

This would be my first guess as to what the problem is.

    Hi

If still no joy, and it is possible to post the drawing file in question, please do so - we can then take a look at the problem / issue first-hand.

    Have a good one, Mike

What about if you create a new viewport in a new layout in the same drawing? Do your layers show then?

Could it be related to non continuous linetypes and PSLTSCALE?
Why draw straws? Just draw one straw and array it.
