Has there been a CAD Manual & Standards in the office before? If so, start with that and take it from there. Go through each page to see what it says and update it to your ideas. If there was never one there for the office, you can look at the links that Mike posted and ask use here at AUGI for help and ideas.

The most important thing to remember is to get your management to be 100% behind you in the enforcement of the CAD Manual & Standards.

Another thing to look into is your Block Library. Does it exist? If it does, how user friendly is it and etc. This area is an on going process of updating and keeping it current.

Another thing to look into is your Drawing template. Does it exist? Does it need to be updated? I think that everyone could help you in setting up a template.

Be sure to get input from everyone that will be using all of these areas. May take create a CAD Committee to help discuss how the department should run and to make it better. If you have different disciplines in your office, choose one from each so that you have each area covered.

    Thank you,

    Brad
