Some would also call it foolish to pay a premium for a Porsche when you can get a Ford Escort for a lot cheaper. Or to pay extra at the local bistro when Denny's is an option. I'll pay the premium for a Mac, the experience is that much better. And when I pay $50 for Acorn rather than $500 for Photoshop, and $80 for iWork rather than $500 for Office, and use the built in PDF editor rather than $500 Acrobat, and... Well, in the very near term the Mac is actually cheaper as well as better. In fact those three pieces of software alone make a 15" MacBook Pro nearly free.
