Ceiling schedules

We have come across a problem..
We are currently doing an alteration to a building and therefore working with phasing.
We create a new ceiling in a room and we then put a light fitting in.. as soon as we try to phase the process and do a schedule, the light fitting portion of ceiling also appears but the ceiling portion of that light/lights duplicates the main ceiling in the schedule.. ie: say the main ceiling is 50sqm.. the light is 600x1200. when we do a schedule for ceilings, it gives us the main ceiling as 50 sqm but also gives the portion for the lights as 50sqm?

Am I doing something wrong or what? It's really confusing me and I would appreciate any help.

Can you tag the ceilings and number them so we can see what we are looking at?

I still don't see why this is happening. Is your schedule phased? Does the problem go on occurring if you schedule new only for example?
