I can reproduce it if I specify an empty cell as the first (top) cell in the range to be summed. Is that what you did? Sum is supposed to ignore empty cells and cells without numeric value. Is this a bug?

If I remember correctly, that means that you need to make the column wider to accomodate the number - the pound signs are shown when you run out of room.
Back in the AutoCAD saddle and loving every minute!

That's what I thought at first also (like Excel), but I tried widening the column with no effect.

    Yep.

But I think I figured out why this is happening:

When you right click/Insert Formula/Sum (I haven't tried the others) and select the range by windowing using osnaps for the intersections, it isn't returning the correct range. In my tests, it is having problems in two ways. One: by adding one to the row number for the bottom cell in the range I.E. (B10:B13) becomes (B10:B14),hence the #### because it is referencing itself (the formula is in B14). And two: it sometimes gets confused between columns - I.E.what is selected (B10:B13) becomes (A10:B14).

If I just simply do a window (kind of like a crossing selection) inside the cells (ignoring snaps), it works OK.

awarren, were you snapping to the intersections?he intersections, also?
