Default New Feature? Two Pick Families?

The "whats new in Revit 9 pdf" mentions modeling sweeps as a enhancement. Whats new with sweeps? Also what do they mean by 3d 2-pick families?

Splines can be in sweep paths and profiles.

3D two-pick families are basically sweeps. You could, for instance, line a room with shelving in 3d, just by drawing lines in plan. As you draw the line, the 3d portion is generated. Very cool tool!

I'm not familiar with the "two pick" as a type of Revit family, and I use Revit all day long. If it is a sweep why refer to it as a "3d 2-pick family"? I think we already have wall sweeps. What I need to know is what this tool does that we cannot do now. What problem does this solve?

Take a look at the detail component libraries there are a bunch of them. You sketch objects just like a line or wall. Take a plywood detail component, pick two points and the detail is drawn between them. 3D...dentil moulding cornice detail.

I was delighted to see a Line Based 2 pick family template, thinking that it would be the answer to my quest to make a hanger/brace as shown attached, but it seems it can only be flat. Am I missing something?

I think 2-pick families would be a family which is defined, but the length is changeable, and when you place the family you pick the two end points for it. I haven't messed with it yet to know for sure.

Did you change your workplane to what ever angle you'd like before placing it?

Goto detail components and draw sheathing or drywall, you can pick one point where the drywall begins and another where you want it to end and the family fills inbetween automatically...very cool feature.

Could you post an example? And where do I find this feature(found nothing by searching the help files)?
