How would I cut these trusses off at the wall? I need to have them cut vertically, so they don't hang out of the wall. I tried a cut-void. No go.

Do I have to rebuild them? I'm guessing so, but they have a bunch of parameters and calculations, that I'm sure I'll break!

    Anyone?

I think the easiest way to accomplish it would be open the existing family, apply the same parameters in the project. Draw a ref line were you want to cut it off and add a void, constrained it to the ref line. Don't forget to widen the void out beyond the length and thickness and lock it down if you want to keep it parametric. Add a vertical to close out the end and save to a new name. Replace just the ones that need to be cut.

Ahhhh...so create the void *in* the family, then do a saveas, load it into the project and replace where i need to.

    Makes sense!

Scott, I just posted a bunch of truss families to revitcity 2 days ago. They are for the two-cut plumb tail condition, but you can set the plumb cut depth so that it looks like a straight plumb cut. You would have to modify them the acheive the square cut in the image. I made some for a bunch of conditions based on one that was already posted up there. Let me know if you need any help with them.

Thanks! I'll check 'em out! The ones in the image are from the Revit Subscription library.
