Default Beam Systems in Revit Building

Is there a way to make a beam system "rest" on supports that are selected with the "Pick Supports" tool? I have a roof that slopes in 2 directions to the drains. The beams slope like I want them to, and I can make the joists slope using the 3D snap, but this means that I have to draw each joist. I'd love to use a beam system for the joists, but it is flat, or at best linked to a sloped work plane, and this doesn't suit the condition. I hoped that picking the supports would cause the joists to rest on the beams, but no joy.

In 9 the beam systems do slope with the beams, you must create the beams first, then the beam system using pick supports, then slope your beams and the beam system will follow

GENIOUS! Too bad you have to slope the supports after placing the system, but a workaround is better than nothing!

I use the beam system and it will follow any sloped plane, ie a roof, ref plane etc. just set that plane as your work plane, then create the beam system.

That works for simple slopes, but my problem roof has a horizontal border and slopes to a low column in the center. Essentially, every joist has a different slope. David's tip does the job in this case!

Cool, I'll have to investigate that method.
