I have just exported my host file to AutoCAD and have found that some objects did not export properly. The reason for this is that Revit creates blocks of objects, and if these are similar objects they are given the same block name. When you open the AutoCAD drawing these objects are not in the proper location because the base point gets confused. This is the same problem you would have if you tried to combine several Revit drawings into one drawing. The solution in that case is to explode the drawings before you combine them. In a linked drawing you cannot do this. The way to correct the export in a linked file is to NOT select "Export each view or sheet as a single file" This seems to correct the problem. Of course now you have a litter of XREFs to feed. It would be nice to be able to export to a linked file to a single AutoCAD file. Perhaps I'll try this in 9.0 and see what happens.
