Default AutoCAD 2006 - Edit any Hatch, message "loading modeller DLLs" is displayed

I notice that the first time I start to edit any hatch object in any file (using A2006) the message "loading modeller DLLs" is displayed. It's not a problem apart from the short delay whilst they are loading but it just strikes me as being a strange combination.

    Any comments?

Question Re: AutoCAD 2006 - Edit any Hatch, message "loading modeller DLLs" is displayed

    Hi

Has this always occurred in AutoCAD 2006 for yourself OR is it a recent development ?

    What happens if you...

    * Start a New drawing file.
    * Add a simple boundary ( _.Rectangle ).
    * Apply a hatch pattern to the boundary ( _.BHatch ).
    * Then Edit the hatch pattern ( _.HatchEdit ).

Do you still receive the same message "loading modeller DLLs" ?

    Have a good one, Mike

    Hi Mike.
As far as I remember, it has "always" done this with some files in A2006.
In your example, above, no, it doesn't do it.
I guess it must depend on some particular feature already being present in the drawing but it's not necessarily 3d/solid objects.

As I say, it's not a problem, just surprising.

I have this same message when I select a hatch the first time without a command running. I just live with it.

    Hi John

    Hmmm, very

Is it possible to post an example drawing file ( without 3D Solid Objects ) that exhibits this behaviour...

Those procedures seem flawed. Save and close the drawing. Once you reopen the drawing in a new AutoCAD session, the message should appear when you attempt to edit it.

Brother Richard - I thought you were probably right but, no, not with this simple test.

If the drawing contains solids the modeller dlls are loaded anyway.
Adding a solid, deleting it, closing the file and re-opening it does not cause the message to appear.

Naturally, now I want it to happen, it won't.
I'll try to post something the next time I notice it happen.

I wasn't saying to remove the solid. I wasn't even saying add a solid to the drawing.

I rarely use any solids in my drawings. I get this message usually when I attempt to edit a previously created hatch in a new AutoCAD session. Once that initial message is displayed for that session, I do not get the message again until the next session.

Were there any solids within the drawing that you noticed the message? If not, I would think this is when the message would display for me.

Does any of this make any sense?

Yes. I know. I was just delving a little further.

I use a lot of solids, that's why I thought it made sense to check. I'm pretty sure, though, that this also happens in drawings that have never contained any solids.

Same here but I assume that that's just because the dlls have now been loaded..

Yes and no. Sometimes, sometimes not.

Yep. It makes sense. It just isn't leading to an answer - yet.
At least there are two of us seeing this; perhaps you're as mad as I am.
