    Default insert xref wont bind

hi all. i'm sure there is an easy fix for this one, but I'm trying to bind an xref into a drawing.
I have made a new drawing by doing a "save as" then try to insert the xref. but when i do it the xref just stays as an xref. i tried both insert and bind but no go.

I know there is an easy way around this, but...operator error is always an obstacle.

    win2k an autocad ldt 2005/map 3d.

    thx

Do you have more than one copy of the same xref in the file? This may be your problem.

Have you tried a search on the subject?

This thread (Xref wont bind) may help. There are some additional links in that thread to more information.
