Exclamation Drawings with Irregular Viewports in, Plotted to PDF, causes problems

My office has been running into a Big Problem. We have Consultants that do not use AutoCAD so we need to create PDFs for them. So once we create the PDF only half of the sheet is created. I have come to the conclusion thru trial and error that the irregular shaped viewports is the problem. I have searched and searched for a solution but have yet to find one. We have multiple files with this problem(Irregular viewport).

What PDF program are you using? Or is it the built into the 2007 series?

I have been using a program called PDF Factory for the last 2 or 3 years and have had no problems whether using rectangular or irregular pline viewports.

Do you have all the current service packs/updates for both Acad and windows (not sure if this matters though).

When was Adobe prof 6.0 released? It may simply be the case that it isn't supported under Acad 2005.

Non-rectangular viewports create much larger output files. As do other factors, see http://support.autodesk.com/Getdoc.asp?ID=TS31465

Have you tried plotting to DWF?

    Hi

Take a look at this thread ( Creating PDFs with Polygonal Viewports ).

Plus, give the forum search facility a try, if you have not already.

    Have a good one, Mike

We had a slightly similar problem, is your VP on a frozen layer? if it is unfreeze it & just set it not to plot if you don't waht it shown. I know that this was a solution to our problem.
    verisimilitude is a life choice...probably...
    Cheese...don't believe the hype.
