Default linking Excel to AutoCAD

Good morning!

My designer and I have a little predicament. We built a bill of materials in Excel and we want to be able to import it in AutoCAD for all the drawings we are creating and we also want the respective drawings to get their respective BOM's modified if we change the original one in Excel.

Can anyone give us an idea? We would really appreciate it!

/SNIP
To link objects in a drawing
1. Start the source application and open a document.
1.
Select the information you want to link and copy it to the Clipboard.
Open the drawing.
On the Edit menu, click Paste Special.
2. In the Paste Special dialog box, click Paste Link.
Paste Link pastes the contents of the Clipboard into the current drawing and creates a link to the file in the source application. If you click Paste, the Clipboard contents are embedded instead of linked.

1. In the As box, select the data format you want to use.
1. Click OK.
Command line PASTESPEC
/SNIP right out of AutoCAD help!
