Accurender - Additional Materials not in project

I guess I don't understand how to use the 'additional rendering materials directory' I've got the previous default directories, i.e., Revit 8, 8.1, listed there but my previous materials do not appear in my Accurender Material Library. I can't figure out how to get old materials into the new program. I shouldn't have to start all over creating new materials every time I upgrade my Revit, should I?

i am dumb too, and this is a dumb answer, but did you add the old library path to your new installation?

I think so
