Select the dimension. Look at the properties. You can add either a prefix or suffix.

If this makes the dimension + text too long for the space or you want to locate the text differently, you will have to do text separately and place as desired.

Thanks, I need to open my eyes more me thinks when looking at the properties! It would be good if you could enter text so that it is on the next line under the dim.
