When I attach an Xref, I freeze layers that I do not want to see and begin drafting.
Somewhere along the line, I decide that something in the root Xref drawing requires modification. I open it up, make my changes and save.
I go back to the drawing with the attached Xref. The Xref manager tells me that it needs reloading.
So far so good.
Here's where my problem is:
When I reload the Xref, it reloads everything. INCLUDING the layers I froze. I freeze these layers again and continue drafting. But every time I reload an Xref, it unfreezes frozen layers.
It's really irritating to have to go and freeze 30 layers every single time I reload an Xref. Especially when a co-worker is working on the Xref.
Is there a setting to prevent this from happening? Or to control this behaviour?
I tackled this once before and can't remember how I solved this issue.
