    Question Factors affecting Linetype Scale

I usually work with a ltscale of 9 or 10 and a psltscale set to '1'. I am have trouble with "dashed" lines appearing correctly in one group drawings. All the others work normal.

Is there another sys var i can check? i just used a "hidden" line to get around the problem today but things like this always drive you insane if you don't figure it out.

PS--I never change the linetype scale of an individual line. (always set to 1)

    Cheers.

If it's a polyline select it and try changing the setting for linetype generation in properties.

Are you having problems with the way it displays in model space, or the way it looks on paper? If the latter, are you using paperspace?

When you have PSLTSCALE set to 1, linetypes are scaled according to the paperspace viewport. This allows you to (for example) have a "HIDDEN" line that looks the same on paper, even when displayed simultaneously in two different viewports with different scales (e.g., a "Main" viewport with XP=1/100 and a "Detail" viewport with XP=1/10).

The two most-common ways to use those values are
    1. PSLTSCALE=1 and LTSCALE=1
    2. PSLTSCALE=0 and LTSCALE=drawing scale

Or it could just be that you have a different linetype definition in one drawing. Remember that linetypes are stored IN EACH DRAWING, so HIDDEN in one drawing might be different than HIDDEN in another drawing. Have you tried reloading your HIDDEN linetype from the ACAD.LIN (or your custom.LIN) file?

Don't forget that after playing around with different sysvar settings, you should also reload the linetypes

Also be sure that you are loading from the correct line type file (acad.lin or acadiso.lin) This will be a big difference as well.

It works fine here. Try flushing your Internet Explorer cache.
