Question I want to edit a Block in place by double clicking on it

I have set this up before but I can not remember what I did.

I want to edit a block in place by double clicking on in. Now it is set to open the block edit tool window. How can I change that???

Setting DBLCLKEDIT to On may help you.

Do you mean that it currently executes BEDIT, but that you want it to execute REFEDIT?
    What AutoCAD version?

It does not sound like you can. The AutoCAD help file indicates that this is the standard method used for editing blocks. Do you not like using this new tool? You might try it and then you may find it useful, but there are some limitations. You could also Right-click the block and choose the in-place editing of the block.

It all depends on the version of AutoCAD. That is why I asked above.

In 2007, you can customize double-click actions.

To prevent access to the Block Editor

On the command line, enter blockedtlock.
Enter 1, and then press ENTER.
If you have a technical question, please find the appropriate forum and ask it there.
You will get a quicker response from your fellow AUGI members than if you sent it to me via a PM or email.
