Red face Tagging Only New Not Existing

    Hi All,

I have a problem with my door and window scheduling. I have some existing doors and windows in the Existing Phase and then i have some Doors and Windows in the new construction phase. When i do tagged all not tagged it tagged, all get tagged and put in the schedule. I only want to show new windows and doors so when i click on properties in the schedule and change "to new only" it still shows the existing in the schedule and numbers them. How can i stop this?
    any suggestions guys?
    Cheers

Because sometimes you may want to schedule an existing door (new hardware, repaint frame, etc.) we created existing door families with a shared instance parameter called remarks. The default value is "existing to remain". If you do nothing to the door leave it noted "existing to remain" and then filter your schedule by remarks - does not contain "existing to remain". If you make a change to a door just note it in the remarks column.......one way to skin the cat.
