    Default Server Migration and Revit "Central files"

    Hello Gang!

    We're getting ready to install new servers here and are going to retire our old machines. My question is this. What would the process be to make sure that our Revit "Central" files remain "Central" and not "Local" when they are copied to the new server? Should I just have all Job Captains make sure all local files are STC'd, delete all local files, do the migration, open "Central" files on new server with "detach from central" option, save, copy file down to new local? Thanks in advance for any help.

    exactly, just make new centrals and new locals after the move.

    Search the forum for related entries from about a 6 or 7 months ago... I asked the same question and got lots of great answers. Also, there were issues with linked file names which were discussed in that thread.
