Toolbar icons show as question marks in AutoCAD 2004

When loading atuocad toolbars in 2004 the icons come in as question marks, how do you get the proper image to display on the toolbar?

And/Or what causes the question marks to appear on the toolbars when loading?

Hi Mike..........I'm trying to get info on getting rid of the smiley faces and I'm interested in the conversion of bitmaps to DLL's (if that's what this is about!) I went to the suggested site "creating a toolbar DLL" and couldn't find anything related to DLL files. I completely got lost. I read someones thread that said he solved the problem by going to DLL's - or something on that order. I have noticed some dll's mixed in with the bmp's in AcadLt2002 and wondered what they were. I would be one happy bird if I could solve this delema - and forever gratefull.!.............Capt. D.
