    Default interior elevation

We are still running v8.1 so the answer to this question might be to go to v9.

I have interior elevations of a series of rooms with different ceiling heights (see attached). Is there a way of making the crop region anything other than a rectangle so I'm not showing what appears to be a building section? The only way I know to do this is with a solid fill above the elements higher than the ceilings, but this is a real pain.

    thanks.

Nope, no way yet. This is something that i have struggled with as well. Hopefully it will be addressed in the future.

sorry... it does stink - you can lock the filled region to the ceiling in the view though I believe, so atleast it will manage itself a little better....

you can get creative with blanking things out with empty filled regions using invisible lines.

Someday I hope shaped crop regions are possible.

It is so tedious, but we make a white filled region with a heavy line for the edge of the elevation and an invisible line for the outside.

I wish this could be automated within the program!!! So many other things work so well.

Make sure your filled regions use "No Pattern" instead of solid white. Export to .dwg to see why!

I have a similar situation in my project. I'm using Revit Architecture 2009. Is there any change to the crop regions, or do I still need to use the filled regions to create the desired crop region shape?

In 2009 you will use the masking region tool with a heavy lineweight.
