Default Bringing a surface from a project into a new drawing (Using "Get From Project")

When I use "Get From Project" to bring an existing grade surface into a new drawing, most of the elements of the surface (breaklines and contours) come into the new drawing as ACAD entities on layer 0. In the drawing where the existing grade surface resides, the layer style has the major and minor contours in separate layers.

What I want is for the surface to come into the new drawing as an object (as it is in the drawing where the surface resides) and be able to be manipulated with the styles I have created.

    Any suggestions?

Is the style from the first drawing also in the new drawing?

Yes - this part is added because my reply must be at least 10 characters

Drag and drop the surface style from the original drawing to the target one, then do the reference. It sounds like the name is the same, but the definition is different.

Sorry for the curt reply, time to board!
