    Default Attaching to roof

    Hello everyone,

I have a basic Brise Soleil family modelled - brackets and louvres, some parametic aspects. I want this to be attached to the edge of my roof / fascia, in fact I want to attach several of them to the roof edge.

I did have it as a roof hosted family but this didn't seem to locate it very well...

    Please advise...?

    Thanks, Elrond

The louvres + supports can't be a simple profile.. seems obvious. So I'd say you won't be able to attach them with a roof-sweep with satisfying results.

Instead make your louvre-roofedge a generic family.. you can simply leave out one of your supportframes [else you'd double them] or.. more sophisticated if you use this type of detailing often; add an array of supportframes that reacts to the total length of your roof-edge. You can simply place and stretch such a family with the Align function.
