Parametric MvPart creation fatal error in ABS2006

I have a problem with my ABS2006, every time I try to create a parametric MvPart, I get to name it, add a descrption, then when I click "Next", the drawing starts to regenerate and I get a fatal error.

Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone know of a way to stop it happening?

FYI: PC is 3GHz, 1Gb RAM, software graphics acceleration, fully service packed - problem has been consistent across all service packs and whatever drawing is open.

PS, Why is there no smiley icon in floods of tears? This is an AutoDesk forum after all...
