Question Convert a couple of lines of DText into MText

I am still fairly new to Autocad, been using it for 2 years. I was wondering if there is any way to take a couple of lines of single line text, and convert it all into multi-line text. I know that I can take multi-line text and explode it into single line text, but can I reverse that? By the way, I am using Autocad 2006.

Try the Express Tool's TXT2MTXT command.

Sorry to bring this one back up, but I am looking for an Autolisp that converts multiple lines of dtext to one single mtext? I had a command called txtmt at my old job and I somehow didn't get that when I left. Anyone know of someplace for this?

when you execute the txt2mtxt command, hit 'enter' before you select anything to bring up an 'options' dialog box. you can deselect the wordwrap function there.

Question Re: Convert a couple of lines of DText into MText

I am pretty sure that the express tools text2mtext will do that?

meaning... you select a few dtext objects, and run the command, and it is all brought together into one mtext object?

glad i could help.... i found that one by accident once by getting a nervous tick when using that express tools command!

actually, it's easy to miss if you have command line off, or don't look at it for many commands.
