Question Limit true type fonts available in AutoCAD LT

Is there a way from limiting the ttf AutoCAD recognizes. I am upgrading our company to 2007 LT. I have a font for gd&t that was purchased years ago that I am trying to phase out. It was used in our word documents. The mtext command allows it to be migrated into AutoCAD. I cannot just remove the font because we still have word documents that need to be printed.
    Please help.

You can move all your windows onts, except the one you don't want to the ACLT\..\fonts folder, and under OPTIONS\FILES have AutoCAD LT look in the AutoCAD fonts folder, but not the windows fonts folder. That way, AutoCAD will not see it. Also look at fontmap command to tell AutoCAD what to do when it finds that font.

I tried to use the font map function. I created a file with the font GD&T2.TTF. Then I changed the font map file to replace that font with Arial. I saved the font map file. then restarted AutoCAD. when I opened the drawing it did not change the font. Is there something I am missing.
