I always thought the square with a line through it was the symbol for Square Feet
It might be, but we use it (draw it) for square tubes and plates... Metric here...

How do i describe a symbol, there is no space to insert a jpeg or other attachment? Is there...?
Submit your wish and if need be, the Wish List Review team will ask for more information. You could then provide that image at that time.Originally Posted by johan d

howdy johan,
have you checked "speciale tekens" (special symbols)???
when on mtext -> rightmousebutton -> symbol -> other
every font has a list of supported symbols, try to find your symbol in such a font, there are possibilties whith some sharewre to create even your own font, and put the wanted symbol in there.
For dimensions you can reach the mtext box through the "ddedit" command.

You may be better off just using the square symbol (empty box, lowercase letter "o" in GDT) to represent square and define the material as square tubing in in a flag note or on the parts list. Using non-standardized symbols will create confusion. Someone looking at your drawing my take your symbol as a glitch in the font and assume that you mean round tubing.
