Re: Steltman
I have used the 30 day trial version. I have found that some of the commands did not work. I have not had the time play with as of late. Been really busy here at work

Re: Steltman
Steltman tools are very good for grading large subdivisions. They create dynamic points at lot corners that respond to roadway profile changes. It also creates 3D polylines, that are very accurate, for surface creation. Much better that Autodesks breaklines. Too much to list. With some time and practice, a 40 acre subdivision can be graded in 50 to 75% less time than with traditional LDD software.

Re: Steltman
Robert Steltman is a Godsend to our industry.
Some glitches may occur, as they do in most programs. But, if you run onto trouble, Robert will be the first one to try and determine the root of the problem and fix things so they work for you. The benefits his programming afford the user are fabulous, and far outweigh any bugs and glitches you may run into along the way. I can only imagine what his most recent programs are like. They could only have improved on the one I used at my old company (over 4 years ago) for designing subdivisions. That program was incredible, so I can only assume that the current one has only built on that quality.
If I could ever convince my current superiors to buy every program this man offers, I would do it in a heartbeat.
If your company is willing to make the investment, I would higly recommend going for it. Robert even once provided me with a detailed productivity breakdown, which compared times spent on projects with, and without his software. The breakdown also summarized just how fast the software can pay for itself, simply from the money saved due to dramatic increases in user productivity.
Take care!
