This one's been driving me crazy.
I've been having strange problems, and I think I've finally tracked it down to what seems to be a bug in 2007.
We use Named Plot Styles. Whenever we insert a block - ANY block - the properties for the block get Plot Style set to Normal. In all previous versions of Autocad, blocks were inserted using the current plot style. We almost always have the current plot style set to "By Layer".
Most of the properties for most of the objects in most of our blocks are set to "By Block". This is by far the most flexible and powerful option in most situations. But that means that having all blocks come in with their plot styles set to "Normal" is causing a huge headache. We want these blocks to come in with plot style set to "By Layer".
Anyone else notice this issue? Found any sort of workaround, short of manually setting the plot style of every block to "By Layer" after insertion? (We could also go through our entire block library, changing the plot styles of every object in every block to something other than "By Block", but for reasons that are probably obvious, we don't want to do that.)
