Has anyone seen this message while installing AutoCAD 2002?
The following serial number is invalid:
00--000000y
Please try again.
I am trying to load AutoCAD 2002 on a machine that already has AutoCAD 2006 loaded on it.
Thanks,

Looks like it doesn't want you to load an older version after loading the newer version. If you have to have both versions on the same machine, you may have to unload 2006, then load 2002 & add 2006.Originally Posted by lance_lie

Give people a job worth doing, the tools to do it, recognition of a job well done & get out of the way.

Hi Lance
Please note I have *moved* this thread from the CAD Mgmt. General forum to this one, as I feel this particular forum is a more appropriate place for such a topic.

It is better you didn't install 2 programmes in a local disk as c:
Try to install AutoCAD 2002 in the local disk (D.
In my computer I have installed AutoCAD 2006 & @ AutoCAD 2005 in this way.
I have 2006 & 2007 on the same drive, with no problems. Main thing is I loaded the 2006 well before the 2007. I also loaded from disks.Originally Posted by arbenallaraj

There is no reason to not install multiple programs on a single drive.Originally Posted by arbenallaraj
I have had installed at the same time, on the same drive:
ABS 2007
AutoCAD 2006
LDT 2006
Revit
C3D 2006
C3D 2007
...with no problems.

And back to R14 (at least) can also be on the same drive with any of those.Originally Posted by rkmcswain
I'm pretty sure that multiple "AutoCAD 2000" based products (2000, 2000i, 2002) cannot co-exist on the same drive though - hence the reason for "RegMan.Zip" at http://www.manusoft.com/Software/Freebies/Index.stmOriginally Posted by jaberwok

Thanks to all that replied.
I had to unload AutoCAD 2006, reinstall 2002 and then reinstall 2006. A pain, but it had to be done in that order.
Thanks,
