Hi all,

I just came across your group on the Autodesk website and figured it would be a great resource. I've been using Revit Structures 3 for about 2 months now so I am still fairly new with the software. My question involves creating new structural components in a project. My boss would like me to create a base plate with a few parameters built in. The parameters include how many bolts, nuts and washers. We want to create this component to make it easier to schedule them in the project. We would like to create this as a 3d component as well. I had tried to modify a base plate that is currently in the Revit software, but when I tried to add a bolt to the base plate, I was able to get them on the right plane. Any help would be appreciated on this subject. Thanks.
