    I have written standards for every company i have ever worked for.... and I can tell you this... writing a standard is a piece of cake... it's getting folks to follow it that is a pain. you could get imput from every person in your office and you will still have folks that will still do whatever they want to. In my current office I have folks that scale up borders, draw on layer 0, and nest xrefs. the only way a standard will succeed is if it has strong management support.
