    Default Express Tools not working in AutoCAD 2004

    I hope I am placing this in the right thread. I am having problems getting the express tools to work in AutoCAD 2004. They are installed but can not get them to load. I have tried to load the application "appload" and also "expressmenu" with no luck. I have verified that they are installed on my drive.

    If somebody else logs in on my computer or I on someone else's, they work. Just when I log in on my computer do they not work.

    Please help before I have to replace my computer due to damage.

    Check to see if the acettest.fas file is in your support path.

    have you tried typing EXPRESSTOOLS in the command line?

    If that didn't work there sounds like something may be wrong with your profile. Something you can do that will basically reset AutoCAD in you login is to delete the following two folders.

    C:\Documents and Settings\<UserName>\Application Data\Autodesk\<AutoCADVersion>
    and
    C:\Documents and Settings\<UserName>\Local Settings\Application Data\Autodesk\<AutoCADVersion>

    Then when you start AutoCAD up again, these folders will be rebuilt and it will be like when AutoCAD was first installed. Of course you will need to redo all your setting again so you may want to hold off in case someone else has a better option.
