Question Activate a floating viewport inside a viewport - 2007

In previous releases (upto 2006) if I had a floating viewport inside another floating viewport I used to be able to double click inside one of then to activate it and then press ctrl+R to switch between active viewports.

This no longer works in 2007 - why have they changed it?

Question Re: ADT2007 - Activate a floating viewport inside a viewport

Having investigated further it should still work in 2007, I am now guessing a sysvar is the culprit, any ideas .......... anyone?

No access to ADT 2007 right now, but check the CUI to see if CTRL+R has been assigned to something else.

No its not, its only recently been installed. Another thing is when I just press the ctrl button by itself the cross hairs change to the pick box (but can pick anything) this doesn't happen on 2006.

Same thing is happening here with ADT2007.
The help file says to use CTRL-R, but it's obviously not correct.

See its not just me (thought I was going mad), this either has to be a setting somewhere (although I haven't messed with anything) or its a bug.

It seems, for whatever reason, CTRL+R was left out of Shortcut Keys in the stock menu. If you create a command (say ChVP) and use ^V as the macro, you can assign it to CTRL+R in the shortcut keys to return the functionality.

Apparently ^V doesn't execute "insert" (still works to change viewports) in a macro. I have tested it, and it worked for me.

Did anyone figure out why the ctrl+r is not working in ADT07. A colleague and I are having the problem of it not working. The only thing that is happening is the cross hairs are changing to a pick box like previously stated.

I went out to Autodesk Knowledgebase and did there fix for this 2476435 in following these steps, it fixed the CTRL+R issue. The trick is to make sure you get the command from the "ACAD" file and not from the "ADT" file.
