Balloonning with Autocad 2004

Still not possible to balloon with Autocad 2004 with out using a lisp or a lot of editing to get the final result?

I've search in the help, but I think Autodesk have'nt anything standard for ballooning.

A big omission from Autodesk.

If I'm not right or if you have a patch solution, please advise me .

This is assuming you are talking about part number balloons. If you are indeed talking about something else, you will need to clarify

I don't know about vanilla AutoCAD, but it is available in Mechanical. I also don't know if it is available in 2005. If it is not, you can post a wish list item.

Could you clarify "ballooning"? Are you talking avout a revision cloud (REVCLOUD) or something else?

If it is a revision cloud youre talking about then it is available as one of the express tools. REVCLOUD is the command. But you have to have the express tools installed

I think that pouellet is referring to ballooning parts of an assembly to call them out for a parts list...

I haven't seen that feature in AutoCAD, either. (I use it a ton in Inventor, but that's not very helpful...)

Hello everybody !

"Chadwickt" understood me, I'm talking about baloon for part number.
Sorry for the confusion, I'm french speaking from south-shore Montreal in Canada.

I'm using Autocad for more than 12 years, and it's the first time I realise that there's no "tag" or "baloon" available standard from Autocad. (I always had a tool to do it, but it was a home-made lisp)

If you have to build a part list, you need to identify what his the item in the drawing.
It should be integrated to the dimensionning tools (leader, ...)

This program his used around the world to create assembly and detailed drawings of any kind, without this essential function ??? Has i said before: A big omission from Autodesk !

AutoCAD mechanical has BOM and ballooning integrated into the program, but I don't believe it is a feature of vanilla AutoCAD
