    Default ???grid lines???

    my question is:

how do i only show the inner part of the crop on my 2nd floor plan view.. When I try stretching it in on the 2nd floor plan, the ones on the 1st floor plan stretches in too, but i need the grids on the 1st floor plan to be longer so it goes through the carport.

    how do i do that..

    HELP!!
    thanks.

I'm not sure on this, but try dragging the grid lines out side the crop box in your floor plan. I believe that this allow you to keep the 4' (Or what ever you have set up) away from the cropped region. Similar to the Level tags. Hope this helps.

Frances, I think you might be stretching the 3D extent of the grid instead of the 2D extent. Stretching the 3D extent will affect the grid throughout the model, in all views. Stretching the 2D extent will affect only the extent in the current view.

Select/highlight the grid, you should see an extent control at each end. It'll say 3D or 2D. Just click on the control to switch between them.
