what do you mean, you want to save an inv11 to an inv10 file??

There is a toggle somewhere to make R11 use the R10 unfolder engine. Adesk changed the way Inv unfolds sheet-metal in R11. You can revert back to the old one with a setting somewhere. I have had to do it for drawings that were not created properly in >R10, and then migrated into 11. The 11 unfolder will not properly unfold them for some reason.
Ie I have a customer who created flanges in on part in version R9 I think. When he moved it to R11 the unfolder makes some of the flanges different almost like they were a separate part. So when he uses my software to export it, the flanges are left off of it. Also if you modify the part (it is a Ipart) and then make a flat the flat is only as bid as the first one was?
Take a look at these...
oooh - wasn't aware of this - still need to struggle through the newbys of R11
but checked the bootcamp cd anyway, but haven't found anything about swithing to an old mode
have you checked the registry for any "understandeble" key that may be linked to this?

Yea I found it, it is in the reg, I will post it when I get back to my office...
Search the Inventor forum at http://discussion.autodesk.com
this has been covered several times in the past couple weeks.

The algorithm was changed in r11 and results in some patterns failing that would work in r10. It can be changed back to the earlier method of unfolding in r11.
