Default Shared parameter need to be loaded as project parameter?

I found that when making some shared parameters, i need to load them in by going thru the project parameters dialogue.

Do all shared parameters need to be loaded thru the project parameters dialogue?

    Thanks

    Justin

Not typically. If a shared parameter is loaded into a family, it will usually come along for the ride. Sometimes where you run into needing to load it into the project is if the shared parameter is to affect systems families that are built into any project. Can you provide a specific example?

i was looking at some door parameters that would read a max amount of people and a parameter that looked at actual people using the door. i was not able to use the actual people using the door parameter until it was a project parameter.

These where built in the project and not part of the door family.
