Concrete encased structural steel beam

I need to make a structural steel beam encased in concrete. I made a new family and it looked right, but when I loaded into the project the concrete disappeared.

Any suggestions?

Nest the steel component as a detail component within the concrete beam family. Here is a typical example
As a nested detail component, it will be visible in any cross section thru' the beam.
