Thread: Turn off layers in a Xref file, close and re-open. Layers are back on

    Default Turn off layers in a Xref file, close and re-open. Layers are back on

    When I Turn off the layers in an xref file, save and close the drawing and re-open the file the layers are back on. Is there a system variable i need to change or something.

    Have a look at the VISRETAIN system variable...
