    Default Copy Layer Properties

I have several drawings that we need to convert to a different color system. Is there a way to set up a drawing and somehow copy the layer properties to the other drawings?

    Default Re: Copy Layer Properties

The 3 standard ways of doing this (not using LISP or such):
    1. Tools --> CAD Standards --> Configure ... Needs a DWS file saved as from the new set of standards. This can change other stuff such as dimension styles, text styles, etc.
    2. Tools --> CAD Standards --> Layer Translator... You simply then browse to a source DWG & answer to which layers change how.
    3. My favourite: In the layer properties manager click the Layer States manager button (3rd from top-left), or after 2007 directly Format --> Layer States Manager, or somewhere earlies version use LMAN command (Express Tool). Create a Layer State, then Export to file. Import in new DWG and restore.
