    Cool Hatch Pattern Edit

I need to change the hatch pattern globally on a group of elements on a specific layer. I want to change the pattern from "Solid" to say "AR-Sand". Is there a way to do this without utilizing hatchedit and selecting "Inherit Properties"? This only allows me to select one (1) hatch object at a time and tells me my hatch pattern is too dense and kicks me out if select with a window.

    Help!!!

Have you tried selecting all the ones you want to change, and using the Properties window?

i agree with draper but wanted to add, use the quick select inside the properties windoe and then once you have all your solid hatches selected then just change the properties to ar-sand....

quick select is an awsome selection tool for situations like your talking about...

I have utilized all the quick select and change properties but I am changing several large solid area hatches and I get "Hatch spacing too dense or dash size too small". Even if I change the scale to something outrageous.

You may need to set the MAXHATCH environment variable to something larger. Inspect the current value by entering the following at the Command: prompt

    (getenv "MaxHatch")

You may be able to enter the following at the Command: prompt to set a larger value:

    (setenv "MaxHatch" "10000000")

(NB: MaxHatch is case sensitive and both MaxHatch and the new value must be "quoted")
