    Question Saving to Cad R14

If I am working in Cad 2005, is it possible to save a dwg. to R14? If so how?

The only way to do it is to download the free Drawing Converter from Autodesk's website. Starting in AutoCAD 2004, it is no longer possible to save down to R14 with AutoCAD itself.

Closest "saveas" option using 05 is R12 DXF, which could then be opened using R14. 05 (documentation states that saving to R14 is not an option).

    Go here and download DWGgateway.

BTW, the current version does not recognise A2006 but I can guarantee that next week's version will. http://www.dwggateway.com/

I got DWGGateway working in 2006 without too much difficulty, just had to load it and the menus, works great, but I just found a bug in that it doesn't seem to save a all of the x-ref info, such as what's attached and all in versions 12 and older.
