Alignment / Pipe Labeling

This is our first project in C3D. We have in the past had alignments along with all of the labeling and notes on different layers corresponding to the direction of the line. At one intersection we've had 1 through line - 2 lines entering it - 1 paralleling it & 1 storm drain. We haven't used base and proposed drawings, we have had everything in one drawing.

How do I label structures to reference 2 alignments in plan and profile, and also not show the stationing of both.

All alignments are in 1 Site
All pipes are in separate Pipe Networks

I do love how we drag the sump of 1 manhole and it changes in another view.

Maybe we need to rethink how we do everything.

Rethinking your file structure might be a really good idea. The more you have in one drawing...the more you risk loosing if that drawing corrupts.

As far as your noting problems. I think it may be easiest to create a general note label style with refernece text so that it can reference multiple alignments and your pipe networks.

With general notes reference text components, you can reference multiple different object types and all the data contained in those objects. They are really handy tools. They dont update automatically when it comes to lable placement, but the data contained from the object references do update to changes.

I tried this and there are only reference text objects for alignments, surfaces, parcels and profiles. No structure or pipe reference items.
