    Question Making Rope and driven constraints

    How and would it be possible to create manipulative rope in inventor 11?? Secondly where would i access driven constraints??

    Since Inventor would look at a single extrusion and consider it a rigid body, the best suggestion I can think of is to make the 'rope' up as a series of links and assemble them.

    Then, you can make the sub-assembly flexible to make it move (RMB on the rope subassembly and choose flexible).

    I know Charles Bliss Website had an example of a chain he did this with a while back.

    You can 'drive a constraint' by right clicking on the constraint you want to drive and choose 'Drive Constraint'
