Place the outline for the view port on a unique layer,
then freeze, turn off, or set that layer as NO PLOT.

Make your viewports on defpoints layer. This layer does not have to be frozen, it is a non-plotable layer !
Putting anything on the DEFPOINTS layer is another topic altogether. I don't put anything on thayt layer and I don't recommend it. It's just as easy to create a seprate layer and make it non-plottable.Originally Posted by wcbates
