Default Hide box that appears around imported OLE Object

    Hello,
Is it possible to hide the box that appears around text that is imported in from Excel? I do not want a box to appear around the text when I print a drawing. Also, can I edit the imported text as it appears lighter than other text when printing too.

    Thanks for your help!

I think you mean the command Imageframe - or through pulldownmenu modify -> object -> Image -> Frame.

As you import an OLE object, autocad will handle it as an image.

to make the frame go away, you have to use ole frame, as for the lightness, there are many issues with ole objects, that is why I try to avoid using them,I have no idea how to fix the lightness, maybe you can check the ole plot quality

I think what u mean is the grey boundary around the text, after setting the OLEFRAME to 0, the outer frame go off, but the grey thick boundary still around, how to get off of it, I hve the same problem, anyone can help?

We stopped using OLE for excel for just that reason. There are several 3rd party programs out there that will import excel spreadsheets with none of the OLE limitations. The one we use is AutoXLS I find it easy to use and it reproduces exactly what my spreadsheet looks like.

Any way to solve this problem w/o 3rd party software?
Anyone can help, is it any other AutoCAD command can solve?

if you want the text linked, you can try using a field that is somehow associated to the text in that cell, but I dont know how to do it, as far as I know, right now there is no way to do what you are asking while the text is linked.
