Default Does a drawing refer to an XREF

Summary: Tracking an XREF to see what drawings refer to a particular XREF

Description: I would like a utility to tell me what CAD drawings refer to a particular XRef file in order for me to assess if the top level file requires a revision suffix.

How Used: It is self evident that editing an XRef file will knock on to an unknown number of top level files, some of which will be affected and others may not.

    Feature Affinity: XREF

This has been available for many versions, although a bit obscure.

    See http://rkmcswain.blogspot.com/2006/0...r-drawing.html for more info.

So how about being able to copy that list?
I mean say there are literally hundreds of files being affected by that one. You cant just copy the searched list from DesginCenter, right?
I am also in need of this particular thing at the moment, but the list is so large, and I am going to need to check drawings off as I go through them. The xref'ed drawing is going to be moved, and all affected files are going to have to be moved too.

In that case, you don't need a list at all. Just use Reference Manager to make that change. Drawings that don't contain that particular xref will be ignored.

    Yes, but try this problem:

For certain reasons involving a misunderstanding during construction, the base drawings of my building are off from the correct 0,0 point by a couple of feet. I want to move them to the correct coordinate. I'm going to have to move everything in the affected drawings too, and I need a list of those drawings.

Soory I meant moved, as in the building in the drawing is being moved. Whoops.
